A small…

A small, nearly hairless burrowing rodent from the dry grasslands of East Africa, including Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia. It lives underground in large colonies ruled by a single breeding queen, a social system more typical of ants and bees. It feels almost no pain from acid, survives long periods with little oxygen and can live for over thirty years, an exceptionally long lifespan for a rodent of its small size.
