British sitcom written by John Sullivan and broadcast on BBC One from 1981, with specials until 2003. It follows Del Boy Trotter, a fast-talking market trader in Peckham, south London, and his much younger brother Rodney, who dream of becoming millionaires by selling dubious goods from their yellow three-wheeled van. Starring David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst, it drew huge Christmas audiences, and Del falling through a bar counter became legendary.
