Titan of Greek mythology…

Titan of Greek mythology, son of Iapetus and brother of Epimetheus, often credited with shaping humans from clay. He tricked Zeus during a sacrifice at Mecone and later stole fire from the gods, hiding it in a fennel stalk to give to mankind. As punishment, he was chained to a rock in the Caucasus, where an eagle devoured his liver each day. Heracles eventually killed the bird and freed him.
